local food poverty

At least 4 million in the UK suffer from food poverty, which means that they aren’t able to obtain healthy, nutritious food. They have to eat what they can afford, not what they choose to. Over 500,000 people in the UK are now reliant on food aid such as food banks. We want to help.

We started making grants to charities working on UK food poverty projects in 2014. You can read more about our partnerships with the Trussell Trust, Make Lunch and the Matthew Tree Project. We're reviewing our funding criteria at the moment and will update this page as soon as we have more information.

If you are looking for funding and you think your project might be what we’re looking for, you can find out how to tell us about it here.
